Smári Jósafatsson is indeed the inventor of the Ekkó trawl doors. His extensive experience in the fishing industry, including working with his father on the Poly-Ice trawl doors, led him to develop the innovative Ekkó design. Smári has been making trawl doors for over 50 years.
